THE CIRCLE OF CARING
A Special Volunteer Program at the Family Nurturing Center
The circle of Caring is a unique program designed to offer "Boomer" age adults (ages 45-65) an opportunity to give back to our community through volunteer servce in agencies serving yough children. The program, which is one of three statewide that was funded by the Oregon Community Foundation and the Juan Yong Trust, was designed by the Family Nurturing Center.
It is a collaborative effort, involving two other early childhood programs in Jackson County: the job Council's Child Care Resource Network and Child Development Services. Other partners include Southern Oregon University, Jackson County Commission on Children and Families and United Way.
