Therapeutic Early Childhood Education:Some children, who are facing extreme challenges in trying to grow up safe and be successful, are enrolled in the therapeutic classroom. Each class has s small group of children and an abundance of teachers who are trained in special methods. If there is no opening for a child in the Therapeutic Class when the family enrolls, the child is placed on the waiting list.

Therapeutic Respite Childcare: Families may reserve time in the Respite Childcare Class when they have an emergency or are going through a stressful time and need short-term childcare.

Story Time

Family Fun Nights: All enrolled families are invited to Family Fun Nights; gatherings that are designed for families to play, have fun, and learn together.

Outreach and Crisis Response:  Through phone calls and visits in the home, FNC staff help families deal with crises and emergencies by working with the parents to relocate resources and solve problems.

Regular Home Visits: All families enrolled in the FNC receive home visits. FNC staff talk about child development and how to help children grow up safe and nurtured.

Parent Support Meetings: Parents come to the FNC to join other parents and FNC staff to talk about their children and problem-solve some of the challenges all parents face in raising healthy kids.

Parent-Child Interaction Groups: This is a program for infants under 13 months and their parents. Weekly group gatherings provide information and support as parents learn effective ways to build strong attachment and work through the struggles that can come from parenting.

Clothing Closet: All enrolled families have access to quality used clothing, children's furnishings (when available) and toys.

Supervised Visitation: Some enrolled families whose children are in foster care may choose to have supervised visits at the FNC. Special rooms and staff support are provided as part of this service.
